I'm a baby Soft-shelled Turtle,
Like a tortoise, I won't win any race.
But I just might win a beauty pageant,
With my vaguely obscenely-shaped face.

    I have never seen one of these but hope to see one. Are they rare? Great detailed shot, the shape, details and coloring are amazing.

    Hi! Thanks so much for the kind words. They are a fairly common turtle, but you have to be near water to see them as they almost always stay in the water. They prefer still water so you will have better luck seeing them in ponds or swamps.
