This is Slender Goldentop,
Flat-top Goldenrod is another name for it
It spreads by both seeds and rhizomes
And can take over your pasture if you ignore it.
(Note: I thought it was interesting how the plant looks completely different depending on which way the wind is blowing, hence the two pictures.)
