This is the home of the Organ-pipe Mud-dauber Wasp
These wasps are generally docile unless you bother them
Mama wasps fill each tube with live paralyzed spiders
To provide a warm meal for their larvae, who gobble them. 

(Wasps can be pretty mean to spiders. Maybe I should have saved this one for Halloween!)
