This was a Great Horned Owl

But it lost it's life to a car

When you throw "compostable" stuff out your car window

The repercussions go far:

 

A mouse or a rat will see a free meal

And eat it by the roadside

Then an owl* will swoop across the road for prey - 

Which is probably how this bird died.

* This happens to other birds as well.
