I am an immature male Scarlet Skimmer,
Crocothemis servilla is my scientific name.
You can easily find me in the tropics and Asia,
Or in Florida where I was introduced by mistake.

I am a female Halloween Pennant,
I'm called that because I'm orange and black.
I tend to perch in an unusual way -
With my forewings straight up and my hindwings down flat.

An Eastern Pondhawk, more commonly.
My color pattern changes 17 times,
Based on the temperature and how much I eat.

I am scarlet red, from my tail to my head,
And I skim over water to catch bugs - that's my game.

I can be found anywhere in America,
Where there are rivers or ditches or streams.

I am a Four-spotted Pennant
You can tell I'm not the son, I'm the daughter.
I have 4 spots on my wings and orange markings,
But we both like to hang around near the water.
