I am an insect in the Subgenus Mesocyphona

I am some species of Crane Fly

I am a Crane Fly in the Infraorder Tipulomorpha, 

"Mosquito hawk" is what some people call me

But I neither hunt mosquitos or bite like them

In fact, I'm a harmless nectar devotee.
