Later in the year it will have bright red berries

The flowers attract bees, and the fruit attracts birds

And its usage in landscaping varies.

This is Ilex vomitoria
Its name is intentional, not a fluke
Native Americans used it in a ceremonial tea
Which was consumed in large quantities then puked.

Which can make your holidays perky and jolly.
