I am known as a Oligoria maculata

Commonly called a Twin-spot Skipper

My underside wings have 3 white spots

Two close together and one slightly differs.

I am known as a Twin-spot Skipper

Named for my two spots that are close together

Although in history I've been seen as far north as New York

I tend to prefer the US south's warmer weather.

I am a Twin-spot Skipper
I have two pairs of white spots on my wings
I am the only butterfly in the Oligoria genus
I like nectar from thistle, among other things.
