Location: Melbourne, Hundred Acre Hollows

This is Eastern Prickly Pear
Although quite pointy, it's a good food source.
Parts of the plant can be used in drinks,
Desserts, candies, and even the main course.

This is known as Devil's Tongue
It's also called Pricklypear.
It's covered with hair-like pointy spines,
But you can eat the fruit, if you dare!

This is knowns as Pricklypear.
The white spots are a fungus.
Unfortunately, this specimen is not healthy,
And will soon no longer be among us.
