I'm known as a Bachman's Sparrow

I'm singing my heart away

I'm proud of my very long, rounded tail

And my feathers that are rust and gray.

I am known as a Bachman's Sparrow

I've been extirpated from some of my range

I need old growth pines with frequent fires to survive

I could go extinct if fire suppression doesn't change.

I am known as a Bachman's Sparrow,
As sparrows go I’m fairly big
But I’m hard to see causes I’m quick and shy
But you know I’m there cause I tend to sing.
