I am an immature Red-tailed Hawk

My plumage is unusually dark

I have a red tail with a thin band of black

From this view, you don't see my identifying marks.

I'm known as a Red-tailed Hawk,
I have more white on my tummy than a Red-shoulder.
If you hear a raptor in a movie it's probably my voice -
I guess bird calls are in the ear of the beholder.
