This is Shining Sumac,
You might remember it from a few weeks ago
It's winter now and this plant is further north
So its leaves have a rosy red glow.

This is Shining Sumac
It's glossy leaves are pinnately compound
The leaves turn reddish purple in the fall
Birds eat the berries which are dark red and round.
