This plant is Showy Rattlebox

Named for the rattling sound that it makes

When its seed pods are dried

The plant hasn't died

It's now an instrument for someone to shake.

This is Showy Rattlebox

It makes a rattling noise when its seeds are dried

It is also toxic to livestock,

Remove it from pastures so your ponies don't get sick or die.
